To fly an Air Taxi has to generate enough lift to displace its own mass. I have yet to see how they can do that without creating considerable noise. The biggest objection to helipads etc is their impact on surrounding areas rather than the operation itself.

Plus, I don't trust Uber (who are lining up here) in two dimensions...

I read that the black box in Kobe's helicopter showed they hit the ground at 184 MPH from a very low altitude. That's seems incredibly fast for the poor visibility and low altitude. What was the pilot thinking?
