LAS VEGAS, NV (Autodesk University 2014 -The new version of Bluebeam Revu is impressive. The CAD version (which I looked at) provides plug-ins for AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks Manage, Navisworks Simulate, SOLIDWORKS, SketchUp Pro, and Microsoft Office, which upon installation creates buttons directly in the program for direct PDF creation and batch options. The program can also convert files using the Bluebeam PDF printer to other CAD and Windows files to 10 different file formats.
You can redline 2D and 3D PDFs with industry standard tools and symbols. You can also measure, markup, and use track changes on projects using the Tool Chest. Bluebeam’s editing capabilities are extremely efficient giving this PDF program the ability to mark up drawings and print without even knowing it was from a PDF. They also have a cloud-based solution where you can go mobile and work with project teams using a tablet.
