Unfortunately thts how it is imported.But fortunately you ca manipulate surfaces(copy them,make them solid, maybe by solidify if they are well closed and can edit the part.

I have got some 3D/2D Data created in Inventor 5.3 which can possibly be exported into Pro/Engineer Wildfire 2.0 in STEP or IGES formats, but I found it as a single imported entity in Pro/E which has not established the parametric relations i.e. not able to edit the existing features by model tree.
Is there any solution to resolve this problem?
